Summary of Position with General Responsibilities:
The Account Relations Specialist (ARS) serves as one of the primary business contacts for the customer and is responsible for overall customer/client satisfaction. The Account Relations Specialist is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent customer needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality. The ARS will work in concert with a Customer Service Representative to meet the needs of our clients and customers.
Essential Job Functions:
- Serve as point of contact for client services issues. Proactively address concerns on both the client and customer/consumer side. Build relationships with clients, terminal managers, and associated staff. Resolve escalated concerns/issues by providing best in class service. Promptly respond to all written, verbal, and electronic communication.
- Work within a ARS and Customer Service Representative partnership to ensure daily tasks, targets, and service levels are met
- Meet service level targets for dwell time by scheduling on dock product for delivery in an expeditious manner. Be available to respond to inbound service requests by being available in relevant phone queues. Provide overflow coverage for team members as required. Contact end user customers/consumers (via phone, text, etc.) to arrange delivery in a timely manner. Communicate with warehouse staff, drives, etc. Shows good judgement in escalating issues, problems, and concerns.
- Monitor delivery schedules, routes, etc. to ensure compliance with agreed upon delivery windows. Proactively address all exceptions in order to facilitate flow of product to end user customer/consumers.
- Organize, input and update relevant data, including the creation of shipping documents, the entering of load receipts and all related functions using both internal and external computer applications to effectively service the customer and maintain up-to-date, accurate transnational records and inventories.
- All other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of Customer Service experience, preferably within a transportation environment
High school diploma
Shift: M-F; Day shift.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
